Knitting Gone Bad

Berroco has gone over the edge again with this vest. This looks too close to the very first garment I knit. I got the button holes all messed up and nothing worked. Why spend so much time knitting to have a garment look like you don't know how to place the buttons to match the button holes. Maybe I just knit too slowly.
An then there is the pair of shorts called "Fancy Pants" by Knit Picks. This is knit in self-striping sock yarn. Thank goodness it's for a pair of baby pants, in the winter that is.
I love both companies for the patterns they create, but there are times I wonder ...

Here Kitty, Kitty ...

or as Abby would say "Are you out of your mind?"

I love creativity. This little cat hat is really cute. Would Abby wear it? Not on your life. She would think I had totally lost it. Quite frankly, the cat in the photo looks like she is thinking the same thing. What a great little project, however, for learning how to crochet. Love it!

Let's face it, our pets are very, very patient with us.

The kitty does look rather pretty in her little hat though!

Light At The End of The Tunnel

My brother Steve sent this to me. His timing was perfect because work has been so hectic lately.

No matter what situations life throws at you...no matter how long and treacherous your journey may seem..

Remember ~~ there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I laughed until my belly ached. Needless to say, I was able to finish out the day with a smile on my face.

Hope you feel better too.

Where has the time gone?

I imagine all of you are wondering where in the universe I've gone to. Well, I'm wondering the same thing about time. It seems like yesterday it was the first week in May, and now we are in the middle of June.

I suppose I could blame it on the weather. It's been cold here. In fact, it's warmer in Siberia than it is in Seattle. It seems like it's still early April. We have had a few warm (over 60 degrees) days, but not many.

I've been busy working long days and knitting. I have knit three baby blankets and finished up a pair of socks. I have started a new sweater for myself.

My goal this week? To get a real blog entry done, you know, one with pictures and a topic of interest.

The bottom line is everyone here is fine, all of the animals are fine, my garden is moping along, and the knitting needles continue to fly.
